The Alpha Premium Stainless Steel series (BS geometry) targets corrosive and washdown environments while preserving fatigue strength through controlled hardening and plate geometry.

Key engineering points

• All‑stainless build (pins, bushes, rollers, plates) with selective hardening for wear surfaces to avoid galling.
• Tight pitch tolerance and pre‑stretching to minimize early‑life settling and preserve center‑to‑center accuracy.
• Accessories (K/L attachments, double‑pitch variants, extended pins) allow custom fixtures on conveyors.

Selection notes

• Match to BS sprockets (roller form and tooth profile); mixing BS/ISO profiles degrades load distribution.
• Account for reduced allowable speed vs. carbon‑steel chains; verify lubrication strategy (dry or food‑grade oil).
• For saline or chlorinated areas, consider higher alloy grades for pitting resistance.

Installation

• • Align sprockets within 0.5 mm runout where possible; excessive misalignment accelerates side wear.
  • Use stainless‑compatible tensioners and avoid dissimilar‑metal couples that may induce galvanic corrosion.
