Data
Specification sheets for roller chains including tensile strength, recommended working loads, speed limits and lubrication classes.
Notes
- Choose pitch by design power and shock factor; mind minimum sprocket tooth counts.
- Plan lubrication regime (drip, bath, forced) based on speed/temperature.
- Use attachment variants for conveying; ensure alignment to prevent tight joints.
Monitoring
- Measure elongation over multiple pitches; schedule change at limit values.
- Protect from abrasive ingress; restore lubrication after washdown.
