CORTECO Catalogs

Corteco is the independent-aftermarket channel of a major OE group, focused on parts that protect engines, drivetrains and occupants over long service life. The portfolio spans dynamic and static sealing (Simmerring® radial shaft seals; cam/cover/sump gaskets; multi-layer steel head gaskets; complete engine gasket sets), dedicated consumables (EVO300P silicone sealing paste; sealing materials for custom cuts), vibration control (torsional vibration dampers/decoupled pulleys, engine and gearbox mounts including hydro types, suspension strut mounts and bushings), and cabin air filtration (micronAir® particle, combi and biofunctional media). Complementary ranges cover air springs and selected steering & suspension components to complete common workshop repairs with OE-grade fit and durability.

Product scope

  • Sealing – Simmerring® radial shaft seals, gasket sets (MLS head, manifold, cover/sump), valve stem seals.
  • Consumables – EVO300P sealing paste, sealing materials for custom gasket cutting.
  • Vibration control – torsional vibration dampers/decoupled pulleys, engine & gearbox mounts (incl. hydro), strut mounts, bushings.
  • Filtration – micronAir® particle, combi and biofunctional cabin filters.
  • Chassis – air springs and selected steering & suspension components.

Each component is engineered around real operating conditions—temperature cycles, pressure pulses, fluid compatibility, dust and moisture ingress, and the NVH profile of modern vehicles. Material choices (rubber compounds, PTFE and fluoroelastomers, MLS stacks, bonded bushings) and geometries are validated with endurance, burst, volumetric expansion and environmental tests to keep leakage, vibration and wear under control for the intended duty cycle. Clear dimensional references, torque values and installation notes reduce fitting time and help avoid repeat jobs.

How to select

  1. Identify the application (VIN/engine or chassis code) and service conditions (load, duty cycle, ambient).
  2. Choose the correct product family and verify dimensions, tolerances and clearances.
  3. Confirm tooling/consumables, torque values and any pre-set or curing requirements.
  4. Document parts and procedures to standardize future work orders.

Workshop best practices

  • Replace in pairs where applicable (mounts, bushings, air springs); never mix old and new on the same axle.
  • Inspect adjacent parts—pulleys, guides, hoses, seals—to prevent repeat failures.
  • For sealing: prepare surfaces meticulously, avoid over-compression, respect bead geometry and curing times.
  • For NVH parts: follow alignment and pre-load instructions; re-torque after initial settlement when specified.
  • For HVAC: use the correct micronAir® media to improve air quality, reduce fogging and protect the blower/evaporator.

With OE heritage, broad European coverage and practical technical literature, Corteco helps workshops shorten diagnosis, standardize procedures and deliver durable repairs that keep vehicles quiet, clean and leak-free.
